Terms of Use

Last updated 20 August 2026. These terms cover whysaid.ai, the Whysaid API, and the Whysaid apps for iOS and macOS.

What Whysaid does

Whysaid asks live AI assistants questions and records their answers, checks whether the sources an answer cites actually exist and say what was claimed, and — where you ask it to — drafts content intended to change what assistants say. You keep ownership of anything you publish.

What Whysaid cannot promise

We cannot guarantee that an AI assistant will mention you, rank you, or say anything in particular. Assistants are non-deterministic, are retrained without notice, and draw most of their answers from pages neither you nor we control. Any service that guarantees AI mentions is describing something it cannot deliver. What we do guarantee is that the measurements are real, the work is done, and movement is reported honestly — including when there is none.

Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password and API keys secret. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe an account has been compromised.

Plans, billing and renewal

Paid plans are monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.

• Bought on the web: billing is handled by Stripe. Cancel any time from your account or by emailing support; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• Bought in the app: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Credit packs are consumable and do not renew. Unused credits remain on the account and do not expire while the account is open.

Acceptable use

Whysaid checks brands you own and answers about you. It is not a tool for researching private individuals, and we will refuse or terminate accounts used that way. Do not use Whysaid to publish claims you cannot support — the drafter is built to refuse unsupported claims, and circumventing that is a breach of these terms.

Machine access

Agents may buy verifications per call over x402. Verification receipts are public by design so a result can be cited; they contain the verdict and the sources checked, never the account that requested them.

Liability

Whysaid is provided as-is. We are not liable for business decisions made on the basis of a measurement, nor for what an AI assistant says about you. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the date above. Material changes to paid plans will be notified by email before they take effect.
